When you need to get the job done, you can depend on a MULE! The MULE PRO-FX 1000 improves on the acclaimed engine and chassis performance of the MULE PRO Series models with a new, larger-displacement Kawasaki-built engine and a sturdy chassis augmented with longer-travel suspension, increased ground.

Kawasaki MULE side x sides are famous for their strength and durability, and the new PRO-FX is no exception. Like other MULE side x sides in Kawasaki’s line-up, these new flagship series models were built to last in a variety of conditions.

Class-leading comfort has been a hallmark of Kawasaki’s hardworking side x sides. The MULE PRO-FX 1000 delivers on that front, with the new, longer-travel suspension further contributing to ride comfort offered by the composed chassis and roomy interior. Creature comforts like EPS, tilt-steering, handy storage spaces and numerous cup holders are complemented by improved maintenance-related elements.

Adding to the MULE PRO-FXT 1000’s versatility, Kawasaki’s unique Trans Cab system offers the ability to maximise carrying capacity with the extended cargo bed in three-person mode or maximise personnel transport in six-person mode. The system enables transformations to be done with one person, in about a minute.

Like the models in the MULE PRO Series, the MULE PRO-FX 1000T/FX/FXR 1000 offers a 453 kg (1,000 lbs) cargo bed capacity, and a 907 kg (2,000 lbs) towing capacity.

The compact liter-class engine delivers both high power and high torque, as well as an increased top speed. The mild character, complemented by a CVT (continuously variable transmission), offers driver-friendly throttle response and delivers smooth acceleration and deceleration.

In addition to its tough engine and rugged frame construction, numerous features (like considerations to prevent the ingress of water and mud, efficient air cleaner design with snorkel intake, etc.) add to the MULE PRO-FX 1000 1000’s strong build.

Easy access to oil filter (and oil dipstick) and air-cleaner filter greatly facilitates maintenance chores. Further, the improved dust resistance of the new intake duct system results in longer maintenance intervals.

Ground clearance of 300 mm reduces the chances of the MULE PRO FX scraping its bottom, which translates to greater accessibility and increased ride comfort.

A wide-body chassis enables a roomy interior space that offers the shoulder and legroom for two adults to comfortably sit side-by-side.

Kawasaki’s high-grade electric power steering (EPS) system is speed sensitive, offering light steering effort at low speed, while reducing assistance as vehicle speed increases to ensure responsive steering. Drivers can set the position of the tilt-adjustable steering wheel to suit their preference, as well as lift it out of the way to facilitate getting in and out of the vehicle.

The MULE PRO-FX 1000 features a front face based on that of the MULE PRO-FX 1000R, including quad headlights. The serious looks reflect the new models’ ability to perform at work sites and in moderate recreation environments, while a silver Kawasaki emblem on all models and painted/coloured parts on certain models add a high-end, premium image.

Double-wishbone suspension is used both front and rear to enable each of the wheels to drive over obstacles with minimum effect on the chassis. Longer wheel travel (F: 279 mm; R: 256 mm) contributes to increased ground clearance as well as riding comfort.

The frame offers a good balance between lateral and torsional stiffness. This delivers high durability while allowing just the right amount of chassis flex to be able to handle the shocks of off-highway riding, ensuring a high level of ride comfort.
